Step 1: Power On and Download the App

Before you do anything else, simply plug your CAMDUCK device into a standard wall outlet. Because most of our products—like the CAMDUCK-XN Power Strip—double as fully functional power devices, there are no batteries to install or cables to route.

Once plugged in, open your smartphone and download our free, user-friendly mobile app (available for both iOS and Android). Ensure your phone is connected to your home’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.

Step 2: Use Bluetooth Quick Connect for Instant Detection

In the past, connecting a wireless camera meant manually typing in long serial numbers or trying to scan a tiny QR code on the back of the device. We eliminated that hassle.

Many of our latest models, including the CAMDUCK-007 Smoke Detector Camera, feature Bluetooth Quick Connect. When you open the app and tap "Add Device," your phone will use Bluetooth to automatically detect the camera sitting in the room. Just tap the device when it pops up on your screen. It is that fast.

Step 3: Enter Your Wi-Fi Password and Start Monitoring

Once the app detects your camera via Bluetooth, it will ask you to select your home Wi-Fi network. Simply enter your usual Wi-Fi password. The camera will securely pair with your router within seconds.

That’s it! You are done. You can now view the 4K or 1080p live feed directly from your phone, adjust motion detection sensitivities, or set up loop recording to your local SD card.

What if My Wi-Fi Drops? (Offline Local Viewing)

Even the best internet connections fail sometimes. What happens if your home Wi-Fi goes down?

Unlike expensive cloud-only cameras that become useless without the internet, CAMDUCK cameras support Offline Local Recording. If your network drops, the camera continues to function and records directly to the inserted SD card. Furthermore, if you are in the same room as the camera, you can still connect to it locally via the app to view the footage—no internet required.
